Where does Girls on the Run meet?
Girls on the Run meets at your athlete’s school. Weather permitting, they have practice outside on the school grounds, and indoors when necessary.

What Time does Girls on the Run start?
Girls on the Run starts 10 minutes after school dismissal. Girls are expected to change into practice clothes, fill their water bottles, and report to the designated meeting site. The first day of practice girls will meet their coach’s in the hallway OUTSIDE the main office of the school.

How many girls are on a team?
Girls on the Run teams are made up of 8-15 girls.

How long does each Girls on the Run practice last?
Practice lasts for 1.5 hours. Parents must pick their daughter at the school when practice is finished. All coaches are volunteers. Please be respectful of their time and be prompt in picking your daughter up.

What days does Girls on the Run meet?
Girls on the Run meets on Monday/ Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Not all school buildings offer both sessions of Girls on the Run. The number of sessions offered is dependent upon the number of coaches available at each location. You will be notified of your athlete’s practice days after teams are made up for each school; the first or second week of February.

What date does Girls on the Run start and stop?
View the calendar for your school. Girls on the Run practices are cancelled on half days of school.

How does the scholarship program work?
To apply for a full or partial scholarship you must attend one of the Registration Open House. A scholarship specialist will assist you by asking a few questions to help determine an appropriate fee.

Is Girls on the Run still occurring in the Spring?
Girls on the Run is still occurring in the spring for all schools who currently participate in the Spring program. This year for the first time we are introducing a Fall Girls on the Run program for new schools to join, because our spring program is full and cannot take on any new schools.
